Nick is an expert in advising new and established organizations from growth and financing strategies to overcoming operational challenges.
For the last ten years Nick has advised management teams, investors, regulators and lenders with regards to Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”), Revenue and Profit Improvement, Business Viability, Debt-Serviceability and Enterprise Valuation.
Nick’s experience as a buy/sell-side M&A advisor has equipped him with the skill-set to understand the drivers of shareholder value and how to preserve it to realise maximum exit value. Notable projects include: Refinancing of a $33m Revenue Cancer Diagnostic Medical Laboratory; Fundraising for a start-up smartphone application in the music messaging space; Buy-Side Financial Due Diligence of a $500m Revenue micro-loan FinTechgroup based in Africa; Valuation of a FinTech company with a $600m ‘near-prime’ consumer loan portfolio.
Nick is experienced in complex financial / operational aspects of large and small highly regulated and publicly owned organizations including an NHS Foundation Trust Hospital in the UK where he led profit improvement projects worth $20 million and was awarded “Young Turnaround Professional of the Year 2015” in the Turnaround Management Association’s “35 and under” category.
Nick is a sector generalist but has spent most of his career working in the Retail, Travel, Healthcare, Real Estate and Financial Services industries.
Before moving to the US from London, Nick also built his own professional services business offering Consulting / Accounting services.
Nick is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) – the UK equivalent of the Association of Certified Public Accountants in the US. He is also a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) – a reputable designated professional accounting body in the UK.
